Weddings

Weddings Monica SmithHaving played at weddings for over 17 years, I have plenty of suggestions and recommendations for your special day. I know that weddings are unique to each couple, and I will do my best to accommodate your special requests.

Prelude music is usually 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to help set the mood as guests are arriving.

Processional music is generally 1-3 songs, played as the bride and bridal party walk down the aisle. Typically, one song is played during the entry of the bridal party and then another song for the bride. Suggestions include:

– Bridal Chorus, “Here Comes the Bride”
– Canon in D
– Joyful Overture
– Prelude

Recessional music is traditionally upbeat and celebratory as the couple has just been pronounced. To continue with the mood, I can continue playing while your guests exit the ceremony as well. Suggestions include:

– Wedding March
– Ode to Joy
– Ribambelle No. 10
– La Gimblette

Some couples also chose to have music played during their ceremony. I am happy to discuss and accommodate those needs as well.
